Women in marriage seems on the face of it, to be antiquated and not for the modern era. It requires the woman to be subject to the whims of parents. This can be a tough ask for women today...especially if the parents are unreasonable, it says that the woman should put up with the unreasonable behaviour of parents, and that the wife should not bring it to the attention of the husband so as to not create a problem for the husband. Excuse me but this is waffle... Its weighted in favour of the man...it's a cop out. It lacks depth!

Absolute waffle, I know of instances where the mother in law is unreasonable, then what, you let her ruin your marriage?
I'm of a mindset that is this...whoever is in the wrong should be told they're wrong, regardless of age or station in the hierarchy in a family.

If the mother in law is in the wrong it's the duty of the son to maintain a healthy happy home by being just. Be even handed whether its your mother or your wife. That's my view...
