Day 2.9

Day 2.9

Just done zuhr prayers, I also read fajr just after I'd bathed. It's put me back in a position of confidence. I'm not so concerned about having not eaten since I opened my fast yesterday. I needed the sleep more than the food.

My body feels like I've had a work out. My muscles are tingling as if Ive been pushing weights. Oh by the  way I have had no cravings of any sort so far.

I want to improve my recitation and supplications before I try to expand on anything. When I say improve, my pronunciation in Arabic is fine, it's the use of certain Surah's and supplications before, during and after I need to improve upon.

Not surprising given that I have hardly prayed for such a long time. It's not just about the praying either, you have to keep you body free from foods and drinks that are not halal. You have to cleanse yourself before prayers in a particular way.

For those of you who do not know how here's a link that I checked out just to remind me if I'm doing it correctly.

Like I said, I'm just sharing my journey, where it takes me I have no idea, I'm on a treasure hunt collecting clues to win the prize, the prize is in this life and the next...

Just like when we commit sins, we are punished in this life and the next...

(I cannot ascribe any particular Hadith or instance where this is said off the top of my head but I've heard it to be the case)

However: Allah says: “If I were to punish everyone for their sins, then NOTHING would remain in existence.”
